What do I do in the studio? I listen to music, drink coffee or cocoa, and think about what I will work on.

Warm cocoa is best enjoyed from a favorite mug that simply belongs to the moment.

Every morning in the studio, a cup of coffee or cocoa becomes a small ritual for focus and creativity. It helps to quickly get into the work rhythm, dive into new ideas with ease, and steadily carry ongoing tasks through to completion.

Cacao helps me feel comfortable, relaxed, and beautifully focused, and it is in this kind of atmosphere that new paintings literally come to life and find their own way onto the canvas.

I most enjoy warm cacao from my favorite mug, which belongs to this little ritual just as inseparably as a brush belongs to a painter.

What Happens in the Studio
Soaking in the atmosphere of the creative space, listening to music, drinking coffee or cocoa, and with joyful anticipation thinking about which new painting or artistic idea will come to life on the canvas that day.

A Studio on the Edge of the Village
The studio is located in a quiet part of the village on the edge of the fields, on the ground floor of a historic house with a garden. The room is spacious, with a high ceiling and three windows, so soft natural light flows in for most of the day, ideal for painting and other forms of artistic creation. The floor is smooth, easy to clean and durable, so drops of paint and dust can be wiped away effortlessly, and nothing stands in the way of bold brushstrokes or experiments with different techniques.

In the middle stands a large antique work table with chairs, the heart of the entire space, where new paintings, sketches and ideas are born. A typical day in the studio begins by preparing the work surface, setting out paints, brushes and other tools, and checking the works in progress with a sense of anticipation. There is a moment of leafing through the sketchbook, searching for ideas, motifs and colour combinations, and following intuition when deciding what to work on.

Then the music goes on, colours are chosen, and attention gradually turns to each canvas. Painting alternates with short breaks, tidying tools, and writing down notes for further ideas, new paintings and projects, until dusk begins to fall and the day in the studio comes to an end – along with another chapter in the creative story.
